Legendary StarCraft 2 player Lee “Jaedong” Jae-dong is officially retiring at the age of 26, esports organization Evil Geniuses announced today. As detailed on the EG website, the Zerg player will be wrapping up his pro gaming career and “don his player jersey for one last time” at BlizzCon this weekend.

To tie in with the news, Evil Geniuses is selling a “Jaedong Legacy Jersey” which can be pre-ordered for $60 via thedesignbyhumans site.

Jaedong was a part of the Evil Geniuses team for three years and bids the organization farewell on a positive note, stating on the announcement that he “will always cheer for Team EG’s success in the future.”

The Zerg player first made his professional debut in 2006, and was particularly successful playing StarCraft: Brood War, winning six major titles while active. The level of his success led to nicknames that reflected upon his status as a professional player, with titles such as “God of Destruction” and “The Tyrant” used. Prior to joining EG he was signed to a number of esports organizations including Jin Air Green Wings and Team 8.
