Before the announcement about the CS:GO roster, Ryx tweet that it has been a disappointing year after their loss to TyLoo at iBuypower Masters 2016, the qualifier for Intel Extreme Masters Oakland tournament.
Echo Fox’s statement has made it clear that it wants to continue with CS:GO in the future, but it needs to do some restructuring to continue. Echo Fox will likely take a hiatus from CS:GO while it figures out what needs to change.
Echo Fox’s first step into esports was purchasing League of Legends team Gravity Gaming in December 2015. Since then, the organization has grown to include teams and players in CS:GO, Call of Duty, Super Smash Bros., Street Fighter V and H1Z1.
